Excerpts from our ÓPERA ACTUAL review:
⭐️ Van Ingelgem seems to have a voice perfectly suited for this repertoire.
⭐ Wajnberg offers sensitivity and melancholic sonorities that perfectly match the pieces.
⭐ Superb consonant diction, an expressive voice with a generous or aspirated vibrato and parlato passages, and richly characterized melodic lines.
⭐ The piano moves between percussive and tender, delicate tones to underline the content of the piece - from emotional turmoil to the irony that Weill knew so well how to create.

The New York podcast 'Lester the Nightfly' has created a two-part special where we discuss and listen to each track. DJ and radio personality PJ Ewing is the host, Tineke Van Ingelgem and Aaron Wajnberg are the guests. Listen to the podcast here: part one / part two.
Excerpts from our GRAMOPHONE UK review:
⭐️ Weill’s melodies lend themselves admirably to Van Ingelgem’s voice.
⭐️ Her tone has a bittersweet touch of Gallic tartness, coupled to a fierce controlled power which – glimpsed in Weill’s ‘Barbarasong’ and Yvain’s ‘Je chante la nuit’ – makes you long to hear her Chrysothemis.
⭐️ She’s particularly adept at catching the lilt of a melody – draping a phrase over a rhythm – and there’s a sly wit about her Britten/Auden 'Cabaret Songs' (sung with a languid hint of an American accent) that sticks in the memory.
⭐️ Van Ingelgem is clearly an artist worth watching.

Excerpts from our KLASSIEK CENTRAAL review:
⭐️ In dialogue with the ever-attentive, suggestive, and nuanced piano accompaniment of Aaron Wajnberg, she sings, narrates, whispers, laments, or seduces.
⭐️ Her supple, agile voice can effortlessly shift into parlando, a cry, or a sarcastic laugh.
⭐️ Her excellent diction and expressive empathy (…) because when vitality, disappointment, heartbreak, and determination are at play, every word counts.
⭐️ ‘Je ne t’aime pas’ is more than a collector’s item. It is a living presence in the home of someone who has lived, loved, wept, and suffered.
